fire Safety management plans

We work with clients to offer practical advice that will cover arrangements to implement, control and continuously review their fire safety standards; ultimately ensuring their ability to keep occupants from harm.

Fire safety should be considered holistically; it’s the sum of the constituent parts that truly make an effective fire safety management system. IFC are strong believers of this principle but unless documented appropriately, the various parts may not work cohesively.

With structured and pragmatic guidance from the IFC Group, you can remain confident that the ongoing Fire Safety Management of your premises will remain at the very highest of standards.

Regardless of size or complexity of a building it is advisable to document the parts in a Fire Safety Management Plan (FSMP). Having an FSMP will ensure that anyone in your premises can understand how fire safety is managed and what to do if there is a fire.

An FSMP can also be used to demonstrate to the Fire and Rescue Service the processes and procedures you have in place, and as a means of informing your staff as part of their package of fire safety training.

  • The company Fire Safety Policy
  • The organisation and arrangements for managing fire safety
  • The emergency procedures that apply
  • The training that is required, its frequency and any additional specialist requirements
  • The arrangements for inspecting, testing and maintaining fire safety infrastructure and equipment
  • The management of contractors who may be working in the premises

If you are unsure about how effective your Fire Safety plans are and would like some advice, we would be delighted to help.
