Specialist Fire Detection systems

Our Fire Life Safety team are highly knowledgeable and qualified to undertake any design projects or tackle any system issues you may have, in order to increase the likelihood, of preservation of life, minimise damage to property and increase efficient firefighter intervention.

Specific risks  and environments require careful analysis and understanding to enable the right type of detection for each scenario. IFC have extensive knowledge of the current markets, technologies and capabilities to ensure that the  clients risk reduction is met.

IFC’s thorough understanding of any third party equipment and how this interfaces to the buildings fire detection and alarm systems has been accumulated over many years of engineering with the differing technologies as they have emerged and developed.

Ill-fitted, inappropriate or deteriorating products and systems can have detrimental effect on any buildings risk profile; this can be extended to room, area or building change, see Fire Risk Management for further information.

Inspections and ongoing maintenance are an important part of the successful prevention and protection of buildings whether they are a new build out of warranty or historic; but how often are these systems inspected correctly?
IFC’s engineers are regularly called upon to inspect and review all types of Life Safety specialist detection systems in-situ for any building type.
